• The iPhone has the most zero-day holes of any smartphone again - & again - & again!

    The truth is that what Apple says the iPhone is (i.e., secure), is a lie. Nobody has worse security on a mobile phone than Apple does.

    Apple's security testing is so bogus that Apple never found it.
    Someone else found it - and decided - to tell Apple about it.

    Security hole after security hole after security hole. It never ends.
    Proving the iPhone is expensive crapware designed like Swiss Cheese is.

    No mobile phone has more active exploits than the iPhone does.
    And yet, Apple's (brilliant) advertising never tells you the truth.
    <https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2022/10/apple-clarifies-security-update-policy-only-the-latest-oses-are-fully-patched/>

    It's sad that people believe what Apple advertises as the iPhone is
    *always* the most exploited mobile phone according to the US government.
    <https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog>

    Besides having the worst support (only 5 years instead of 7 years like new Google Pixels and Samsung Galaxies have), the iPhone supports the fewest
    number of releases (Apple only fully supports a single release at a time).
    *Apple finally confirms how long it will support iPhones*
    *and it's less than Samsung and Google*
    <https://www.androidauthority.com/iphone-software-support-commitment-3449135/>

    No wonder there are zero-day holes all over the iPhone, every single month!

    And yet, many people *believe* Apple's lies about having what they don't!

    I'm intelligent. You can't just say all facts are wrong simply because you believe only in the marketing claims made by Apple instead of in facts.

    It's always the case that the Apple trolls know *nothing* about Apple.

    I would *love* for someone to show that the iPhone isn't the most exploited mobile phone in history - as if they did - we'd all something (me too).

    It's very sad how little the Apple trolls know about Apple products.

    Simple question for you. If your iPhone is so secure, why does the
    government agency responsible for threats say iOS is the most exploited?
    <https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog>

    And yes, there are a billion malware apps for Android. Just counting them doesn't mean anything - but you can keep trying to find something
    (anything) that is from the government that does *not* say that iOS is the
    most exploited smartphone in history. Go ahead. I'll read your cites.

    If you can "teach" me something about Apple, I'm all ears; but it's going

    The fact is Apple has the *worst* bugfix support in the industry and when that's proven (using Apple's own published documents), they get mad at me.

    These Apple trolls despise intelligent people who understand the facts.
    So be it.

    FACT:
    Apple's iOS support is the worst in the industry (compared to
    Google/Samsung) in terms of promised years of full support.

    FACT:
    Apple's iOS & MacOS hotfix support is the worst in the industry (compared
    to everyone else, including Microsoft) when it comes to number of versions.

    FACT:
    Apple's iOS operating system is the most exploited in the wild of any
    mobile device, according to reliable published government statistics.

    Those are all facts backing up the rather astute observation that the Apple advertising never tells these Apple trolls that Apple's support is, by far,
    the *worst* in the industry - which is easily proved by those facts.

    The Apple trolls actually think Apple's hotfix support is the best.
    Who is that incredibly gullible to believe that?

    They can't find a *single* fact backing up their religious belief systems. Apple trolls only know Apple's (admittedly brilliant) advertising claims.

    I ruin their day with facts.
    So be it.

    Since I test Apple products daily, I happen to know a lot about them.

    That's why my cites contain well-documented *published* facts about Apple.

    In response to those well-documented written *published* facts, the Apple trolls claimed that both Apple and the government, lied, in writing.

    It's those who claimed both Apple & the government lied in writing who are
    the "Apple trolls"; not me (and likely not you as you didn't claim that).

    Also, security updates for the Google Pixel 5, a 2020 release, ended on

    The problem with that statement above is I'm sick & tired of explaining for
    a decade to you Apple trolls how to reason like a normal adult thinks.

    The entire "logical reasoning" of the Apple trolls is that of a child.

    You provided an article which shows that malware is rampant on Android.
    Nobody disagrees with that premise, so we accept it a priori.

    But that says nothing about the "security" of Android in that only fools download that malware - and yes - there are many fools out there, I agree.

    The crap that fools download doesn't mean Android is insecure when iOS has
    more exploits than any phone in history as reported by the US gov.
    <https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog>

    that's more than Android - even with the malware that's on Android.
    And most of that Apple zero-day exploits are zero-click exploits.

    None of which did Apple catch (as that's by definition of zero day).

    In summary, you're trying to say that malware exists on Android, which
    nobody denies, and yet, you're denying that the iPhone is the most
    exploited phone in history according to the security part of the gov.

    You don't understand that the fact Android malware can exist doesn't trump
    the fact there isn't a phone in history more exploited than the iPhone.

    You did not address the fact the Apple gives full support to phones
    longer than your claim for Android. Or that Apple issues occasional
    security updates well past the date full support stops.

    The problem with that statement above is I'm sick & tired of explaining for
    a decade to you Apple trolls how to reason like a normal adult thinks.

    The entire "logical reasoning" of the Apple trolls is that of a child.

    Again, nobody is denying that *every* operating system vendor patches bugs occassionally in older releases, where Android patches them every month for every Android on the planet that is on Android 10 or newer.

    That's *billions* of phones around the world patched automatically every
    month for phones that have been built since before Android 10 came out.

    And Android 10 came out in 2019, so that's already all Android phones since *before* 2019, get patched every month using Google's Project Mainline.

    I've explained for five years about Project Mainline to you Apple trolls;
    and yet it never sinks in that Android is patched longer than iOS is.

    But my point to you wasn't that an occasional patch happens by all
    operating system vendors, but I'm well aware you Apple trolls have said for
    a decade that an occasional patch means EVERY BUG is patched.

    You don't think like adults. You have no capacity for logical reasoning.

    Let me say it bluntly for you Apple trolls for the thousandth time, that an occasional patch (which all operating system vendors do) does not mean that every bug they know of is patched. That you think it does, is absurd.

    Your reasoning skill are that of a child for all you Apple trolls.
    It doesn't occur to you that Apple put in writing how long they will patch every bug that they know of, and that is for a single release only.

    Only Apple does that.
    Every other operating system vendor fully patches *more* than one release.

    Also, security updates for the Google Pixel 5, a 2020 release, ended on
    in November 2023. https://endoflife.date/pixel Generally speaking Pixel support seems to be only 3-4 years.

    Nobody doubts that Apple supported wasn't always the worst in the industry.
    But today, Apple support *is* the worst in the industry.

    What changed?

    Well, for one, the EU forced all the major phone vendors to put in writing
    how long their full hotfix support will be and Apple's is by far the worst.

    Samsung said 7 years, 7 releases. So did Google.
    Apple said 5 years (where Apple only fully patches 1 release).

    Now, we're all adults here, so we know there are a billion Android vendors whose promise isn't known - but Google & Samsung have the lion's share.

    Especially when talking the same price range as Apple iPhones are.

    So, Apple has, by far, the *shortest* full support in the industry.
    And, the *fewest* number of simultaneous releases too.

    That's just a fact.
    You Apple trolls are first ignorant of the fact, but when you're told that fact, you *hate* that fact, so you always say that the fact that Apple
    patches a hole every once in a while in older releases (which every
    operating system vendor does), somehow, magically, means Apple patches all holes it knows about.

    No. That's not what adults do.
    You can't just make up an absurd claim & then hang your hat on that.

    It's why you Apple trolls are Apple trolls after all.
    Nobody does that except you Apple trolls.

    You are like children in your complete lack of adult reasoning skills.

    Samsung support is a little more generous but only up to about 5 years. https://endoflife.date/samsung-mobile

    One thing about you Apple trolls is you never click on links.
    I gave you Samsung links for 7 years and 7 releases. Same with Google.

    You Apple trolls are so desperate to make the fact Apple has the worst
    support in the industry "go away" that you didn't click on the links.

    Samsung = 7 years, 7 releases (I believe simultaneously) <https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/samsung-extends-android-and-security-updates-to-7-years/>
    "Samsung phones now come backed with seven years' worth of
    security updates and seven generations of OS upgrades."

    Google = 7 years, 7 releases (I believe simultaneously)
    <https://www.tomsguide.com/opinion/google-pixel-8-software-updates>
    "That support covers everything, including full Android updates,
    the regular Pixel feature drops and security updates."

    Apple = 5 years, probably 5 releases (never more than 1 at a time!)
    *Apple finally confirms how long it will support iPhones*
    *and it's less than Samsung and Google* <https://www.androidauthority.com/iphone-software-support-commitment-3449135/>

    And, get this: Apple only did so because the UK forced them to do it!
    *Apple Commits to at Least Five Years of iPhone Security Updates*
    "Apple has revealed its commitment to a minimum of five years of
    iPhone security software updates from the date a device is
    launched, thanks to a new legal requirement in the United Kingdom" <https://www.macrumors.com/2024/06/06/apple-iphone-security-updates-five-year-minimum/>

    Please cite evidence to the contrary. Otherwise you are simply a liar.

    What's sad is you Apple trolls know nothing about Project Mainline, which
    has been around since 2019, where *every* single Android phone since 2019
    is patched monthly and where for operating system updates, Samsung & Google promise, in writing, 7 years and 7 releases, while Apple has nothing like
    it.

    Apple's support is the *worst* in the industry, which, by the way, is also likely why the government says the iPhone is the most exploited phone.
    <https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog>

    What's consistent over the years is you Apple trolls never learn the facts, even though NOTHING above hasn't been told to you many times.

    You *hate* that your believe system is *destroyed* by mere facts.
    So you call me a "liar" because your child-like brain can't handle facts.

    What you Apple trolls do, is deny everything, until the adults give up.
    Only on the Apple newsgroups do you find this rather strange behavior.

    Just killfile him and move on. He has no interest in facts.

    I've presented that exact same evidence to him which he promptly ignores
    and focuses instead on online statements which have no substance.

    Most of what he states is false and the rest is an exaggeration. Very occasionally he is correct, but that's more by accident than intent.

    Heh heh heh... none of you Apple trolls knows anything about Apple.
    Which facts are you herd-animal Apple zealot trolls disputing, Chris?

    1. The fact that Apple published their iOS support which is five years?
    2. Or the fact that Google/Samsung published theirs, which is seven?
    3. Or the fact that CISA shows iOS to have far more exploits than Android?
    4. Or the fact that Apple only fully supports one OS release at a time?
    5. Or the fact that every other OS vendor fully supports more than one?
    6. Or the fact that Android overall has more malware than iOS does?
    7. Or the fact that Android 10+ is updated ~monthly via Project Mainline?

    You Apple trolls only believe in propaganda so you actually hate facts.
    Given you claim the facts are wrong, which facts are you saying are wrong?

    Note: I'm nothing like you Apple trolls in that I will admit any time that
    I'm wrong as my ego isn't tied to my belief system like that of you trolls.

    But you claiming all facts you don't like are wrong, doesn't cut it Chris.
    Be a man.

    Tell us all which of the seven facts I stated above you claim to be wrong.
