Anyone used Zappa hops or tried a beer made with them?
I'm thinking of ordering them and experimenting, but can find pretty much zero on them. Sierra Nevada made a single hop beer with them, but it's not sold where I am. Can't find anything on homebrewtalk.com about them.
The brief description I've seen is "Passionfruit, mint, spice, tropical fruits, and fruity pebbles" and they are evidently bred in part from a wild Mexican variety of hops.
I'm going to guess nobody has, but thought I'd throw it out there....

Thanks. I loved the bit further down that says "he still finds himself
adding descriptors."
It sounds wild, but something like that doesn't always play well with other hops. I took a pass on it in my most recent hop order, but maybe I'll try
it in a small batch in a while.
Medusa is another Neomexicanus variety. There seem to be a lot more people who have used it, and it's gotten a lot of positive takes. However, it's supposed to be a different beast, despite somewhat similar origins. I'll
keep both in mind.
