  • Some updates - Marion can't do this with an Android tablet!

    The wife's replacement Gen 7 iPad came in to the Apple Store on
    Wednesday and I went over to pick it up yesterday (10/16/25). Great experience. The replacement was, according to the tech, new, not a
    refurb. After about 90 minutes, and with some help, everything was
    transferred over. I was a perfect copy. The only thing not transferred
    was the Google Mail password. That was input, and we are off and running.

    While waiting for the tech to fetch the replacement I talked to another customer also waiting for the same tech. He was getting an iPhone. He
    had a phone in hand, so I asked what he was replacing. Answer? This
    Samsung my employer gave me. I hate it.

    My 2 older "inelgible" HP laptops that I installed Windows 11 on in July received updates yesterday. I was hoping that would happen. The only
    issue was Gen 7 Intel. Looks like those are good to go for a while. The
    both run Windows 11 like a champ.
