    Everything Apple Announced Today:
iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10, New AirPods

    <https://www.wired.com/story/everything-apple-announced-iphone-16-apple-watch-series-10-new-airpods/>

Summary (in order of presentation) of what Apple invested in R&D for them:

    1. The iPhone 16 & 16 Plus now have a vertically aligned camera module
    2. Apple's Action Button was carried over from the iPhone 15 Pro
    3. A Camera Control button which reacts to different levels of pressure
    4. The iPhone 16 Pro & Pro Max model are slightly larger (at 6.3 & 6.9")
    5. A "host" of smaller upgrades, including iPhone 16 Pro 5X optical zoom

The fact is, with Apple's lack of R&D, they can only copy Android now.

I don't get this. I like my iPhone. I have a long background in
technology and although you may or may not be right about the supposed superiority of Android devices over Apple, I say 'so what'? If I like something, who are you to tell me I should or should not do so, and why

I like my iPhone too. There are some things it does and certain apps
which I've grown accustomed to that I can't do without. But I think
what Arlen has been pointing out to the iPhone group is that Apple has
severely limited iOS and the iPhone compared to Android and the other
phone manufacturers. This type of mentality is not tolerated and
immediately assailed by those heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem.
There can't be a real discussion without personal insults and talking
past each other. If anyone doesn't worship Apple they are immediately
labeled a troll or heretic. It's much like the political discourse
    these days.

What I find interesting about Apple ngs is that the truth about Apple
products is not tolerated - yet every other OS newsgroups allows facts.

    Why not?

The fact is the article said Apple announced this about the new iPhones.
    1. The iPhone 16 & 16 Plus now have a vertically aligned camera module
    2. Apple's Action Button was carried over from the iPhone 15 Pro
    3. A Camera Control button which reacts to different levels of pressure
    4. The iPhone 16 Pro & Pro Max model are slightly larger (at 6.3 & 6.9")
    5. A "host of smaller upgrades, including iPhone 16 Pro 5X optical zoom"

    That's just a fact.
Why should a simple fact such as that, provoke such hatred on an Apple ng?
