Wow. These drives never stop growing in size. I guess that the NSA is

Very nice to see that the venerable HDD isn't quite done yet. When you think it
must be nearing the end of its evolution, it just carries on and continues its
march.
The latest is that WD is moving to a laser for the head(s) that they
expect to release starting at 50 TB in a year or ten.
A little closer to home, I just purchased a pair of WDC 18TB Elements drives on a Black Friday deal, which I'll shuck and install internally. I suppose a few years from now the 18TB drives will seem quaint in their smallness.
