Epic has been on a roll with its free game releases recently. While
they haven't all been great, we've been getting MORE and the quality
has increased over some of the usual library-fodder they'd been
pushing a few months back. Will this trend continue this week? Let's
see what we got!
* Calico

A 'cozy' "community life sim" where you manage a 'cat cafe'.
Wander the woods, find stuff (and cats) and build out your
cafe. It's got good reviews but I'm fairly sure this isn't a
game designed for people like me so I can't really judge if
it's good or not. On the one hand: cats! On the other... it's
so saccharine sweet just watching the trailer video gave me
three cavities.
* LoneStar

"There's only one man who would dare give me the raspberry:
Lone Star!" No, this game has nothing to do with "Spaceballs",
but c'mon, that's probably the first thing that came to mind
when you saw this was a sci-fi game with that name (unless
you're from Texas). Anyway, this game is a 'strategic rogue-
like spaceship deckbuilder'... and I've already lost interest.
Good reviews, but just not a style of game for me.
Well, I can't say I was impressed with this week's offerings but that
might say more about me than the games. The two titles feel fairly
niche and definitely aren't of the same quality as previous weeks,
both being very Indie in design. Well, there's always next week.
See you in seven days!
