Stealing ideas from websites again*, here's a list of games that were _supposed_ to be already released in 2025, but have so far been
delayed (either to later this year, or next).

Aeterna Lucis John Carpenter Toxic Commando
    Arc Raiders Killing Floor 3
Ark 2/Ark: Survival Ascended La Quimera
    Bionic Bay Little Nightmares III
    Breakers: Unlock the World Marathon
Broken Arrow Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra
    Cabernet MIO: Memories In Orbit
    Calamity Angels Neon Inferno
Cinder City No Rest For The Wicked
    CloverPit Pragmata
Corpse Party II Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
    Crimson Desert Prison Architect 2
    Crysis 4 Replaced
    Daimon Blades Skate Story
    Demonschool Soup Pot
Descenders Next Stick it to the Stickman
    Directive 8020 Subnautica 2
Fable The Wolf Among Us 2
    Faeland Time Takers
Forever Skies Trivia Murder Party 3
Grand Theft Auto VI Vampire TM - Bloodlines 2

Honestly, I don't even RECOGNIZE something like three quarters of the
games on the list, and of the remainder that I do recognize (largely
because they are sequels to existing franchises), I had no idea a new
game was in development. I don't think there's one game on that list
where I'm going, "Oh man, I hope this releases soon, I really wanna
    play it now!"

    Not one.

I mean, sure, maybe some of the games look interesting; it's not like
I wouldn't play them. But there's nothing on the list that I am
    _eagerly_ anticipating.

Whether this says more about the current state of the industry, or
    about me I can't say.

How about you? Are you eagerly awaiting any of these games? Are you
left lukewarm by the news they aren't out yet? Or do none of them
    pique your interest?

I'll not say I'm eagerly awaiting it, but I'm interested in Fable
perhaps, assuming it even comes out on PC, and probably only in the
    distant future/gamepass/free.

I've at least played the previous of GTA, Crysis, Subnautica and VTMB. Possibly Arc if you count a free weekend. I'm not particularly
interested in any of those though. GTA and VTMB because they're so far
what I liked about the series, I don't see any point.

The only one that's actually new I've heard of is John Carpenter Toxic Commando. It's on the skeptical wait and see list, with what I've seen
    being at best a maybe.

Right now, the only upcoming game I've any anticipation for is the
next "Aliens" game, and even then it's more because I like the
franchise than because the game looks particularly interesting (in
fact, seeing as "Alien: Rogue Incursion" is a port of a VR-only game,
I suspect its gameplay will be pretty 'mid'; more akin to "Colonial
Marines" than "Alien Isolation". But I like shooting xenomorphs so
I'll probably buy it sooner or later.

(It's not on the list above because it's not been delayed; "Rogue
Incursion" is scheduled for a 30 September release, and it looks like
it'll make it out on that day).

Well.... other than the usual bevy of *Truck Simulator DLC packages.
I'm always excited about those. ;-)

I'm OK with delays since game developments are more complex. I can't
even play them with my lack of resources like ancient hardwares,
energies, and time. I got old games to play!

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." --Romans 12:1-2. Hobbit day after slammy Sun.

It has been a very long time since I eagerly awaited any video game so
delays don't bother me in the slightest.

I just assume that people who think about and anticipate NEW games
don't have a backlog like mine.

Don't worry; the way things are going between the publisher and the
developer, the whole 'Is "Subnautica 2" the second or third game in
the series' question will never arise, because the game will never get released. ;-)

I gotta say, I never really could get into the "Subnautica" games, but
that's probably more because I burned out on to many similar 'survival/crafting' games before I finally got around to playing it. I
never even bothered with "Below Zero" and "Subnautica 2" doesn't
    excite me at all.

I played Subnautica all the way through a couple of times and liked it
enough to buy Below Zero but Below Zero ratcheted up the difficulty too
much for me so I didn't get far. After that I couldn't get into the
    first game again.
