    It's been a wild day here at the Spalls-quarters, what with the
    Internet conking out again, but at least there's one benefit: it's
    free-games Thursday! Epic, redeem this day for us!

    * Project Winter
    https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/project-winter-3b9e84
    This one is, basically, "The Long Dark" crossed with
    "Among Us"; it's a survival game set in an arctic wilderness
    but also a 'game of social deception'. I'm guessing this one
    is hitting the 'free games' market because the multiplayer
    servers are all empty. Either way, it's not really something
    that looks interesting to me.

    * Samorost 2
    https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/samorost-2-1b9bb1
    Amanita Design makes a comeback to the Epic game store
    freebies. It's yet another point-n-click adventure with
    surreal visuals, and I'm just about as interested in it as
    all the their other games that passed across my desk...
    which is to say, barely. The games get good reviews so
    I'll grant they're not bad games, but their art style
    and gameplay just dont' appeal to me.

    Now the real question is: should I choose to claim these games, will I
    actually have the opportunity to do so before the Internet goes down
    on me again? And if I don't, have I really missed out on anything?

    See you all in seven days!

    here's actually a question: were you able to claim these games at all? I
    tried and it refused to register both, but I wasn't trying more than twice.

    Both worked for me but that was a week ago. I think you are just
    trying one week too late.
