    Yes. I wholeheartedly agree that most web pages by big companies
    are filled with loads of CSS and JavaScript that is not required
    to just transfer the actual text of information on these pages.

    So, they make these pages to please themselves, not to please me.
    Well, they need to have some motivation to publish them.

    Up to the point that, today, when you save a web page as PDF
    or a screenshot (png) this will take /less/ space than saving
    it as HTML!
