    Do you get the feeling that Windows users who try to keep scrupulously up-to-date with patches are basically running as fast as they can,
    just to stay in the same place?

    That's all well and good but disparaging M$ Windows does not qualify as GNU/Linux advocacy.

    I suggest that you post examples that demonstrate the viability
    if not superiority of GNU/Linux and FOSS.

    I didn't bother checking the change logs but for a while Fedora was in the kernel-a-day club. I assume they were patching something other than what
    Rust broke.
