Announcement of TkCon v2.8 release

This is the release of the TkCon v2.8 package. There have been several
changes since the v2.7 release. See below for links to the files and the release notes.


TkCon 2.8 Release Notes:

Notable New Features:
- Ported to work on TCL/Tk 9.0
- Use Ttk widgets
- Updated to latest TEA files, build scripts
- Dialog updates for better positioning, font selection, etc.
- Improved font resizing functions

Documentation Updates:
- Documentation was updated for man page and HTML formats.

Notable Bug Fixes:
- Bug fixes, patches, etc. submitted to sourceforge.net and other github projects have been fixed or implemented.
(This includes changes from all other known forks of TkCon)

Brian,
thanks for caring about this package, that is great.
Just a question: does it run with the new text widget?
Remark, that eliding may take a long time, if the console text widget is
full of data.
This is highly improved with the new text widget.

Yes it uses the default text widget, so that's the new one for Tk 9.0.
For older versions of Tk, you would need to load the new text package
and rename it to replace the text widget before sourcing TkCon.

If it's short here is fine, otherwise either repo will work, though only
github sends me an email to let me know someone created an issue. So
that tends to be preferred.
