I'm trying to avoid having to use Windoze. Apparently it may be possible to add TCP/IP ability to DOS, I'm looking into that now.
nah, that's crazy. you dont want to run a server on dos.
Why not?
if you dont want to use WINDOWS, use linux. you're setting yourself up
for a lot of headaches.
I'm an advanced user of Linux. What do you mean, "use linux"? Using it as the incoming telnet server is easy, but what then? Run PCB in a DOS emulator on Linux? It might work, but doors and other external stuff
won't. I have thought about how I might use Linux for the telnet server, and then redirect the data out a serial port to the (DOS) computer running PCB, but haven't got a good idea how to do that. Do you?

I think that you spending a lot of time spinning your wheels and wasting
a log of time when there are bbs system out there that is designed to
run under Linux.

LOL. Nice reply to a fucking post that is a *YEAR* *AND* *A* *HALF*
old... Jesus.
If I wanted to run a BBS under Linux, I would. What I wanted (past
tense) to do was run *PCBOARD* under DOS, as I stated.
Try some reading comprehension classes at your local elementary school.
