    It's her sheer joie de vivre that made the biggest impression. It was a pleasant surprise for an actress previously best known for appearing in Eastenders, where everyone is exceptionally gloomy even by soap opera standards.

    I agree. I love Clara's version of the "It's Bigger ..." observation. I also love her put-down of the Prior Governess when she says her that she now has
    the job. I am looking forward to the new episodes since she looks like an interesting character.

    Clara / Oswin tends to come across as obnoxious and pushy. It was similar
    with Coleman's character in the Titanic mini-series. She was better in Emmerdale, although her character got a bit weird towards the end thanks
    to hopeless writers not knowing what to do with her.

    I've seen a wide variety of speculation regarding Clara.

    "Asylum of the Daleks" ends with Oswin wiping the Doctor from the
    Dalek's memory and telling the Doctor to "remember".

    "The Snowmen" has its "memory snow" and a "memory worm". Clara dies and
    again tells the Doctor to "remember". At her gravesite the Doctor stares
    at the GI business card as if he were trying to remember something. And
    Clara's tombstone has "remember me" etched on it.

    I think these are all clues to who Clara is.

    One thing I forgot to mention ... in AOTD the Daleks supposedly tried to transform Oswin into a Dalek because of her "great" intelligence.

    Another clue could be new Clara's final comment...

    "I don't believe in ghosts"

    It could mean nothing, but it wouldn't surprise me if Moffat used those specific words for a reason.

    Clara is just a dream - the Doctor is asleep and will wake up in the
    shower, get dressed and go back the the TARDIS control room to find Amy
    and Rory still there wondering what took him so long. Then they'll all
    step outside to find the TARDIS has landed inside a snowglobe and the
    snowmen monsters are real. ;-)
