Thursday night, I was admitted to the hospital as I had a small but significant
heart attack. It didn't show up on an EKG but one particular enzyme
level was inflated (an enzyme the heart produces during a heart
attack) which is worrysome. My cardiologist told me at this rate, I
may not live until June.
I may be in the hospital for weeks at this point. Everything is still
a bit up in the air but things will not be returning to normal for me
for quite a while.
I did bring my laptop and do have access to my BBS.
I may go for days without contact but I am still around. Wish me luck
as I am going to need it.
It might be a while before I get another issue of the FG out but I
will continue to do so. I actually have the software on my laptop to publish the FG.
Stress is a possibly risk factor so to hell with doing the Gazette or doing so to a time schedule, if it is a few days late so what?
Stop doing any thing that increases your stress and if there is any indication of the quality of the bed, room or hospital food (I am going by the UK NHS one's here) you have enough to deal with - CHILL OUT, relax etc and more importantly get well,
Best of luck and try and keep resting, we are all rooting / routing for you.

Sean, my best wishes! Get well and dont worry about ANYTHING!
I just talked to my heart surgeon and due to where the blockages are in
my heart, they cannot do bypass surgery. They will be talking to the surgeon
that runs the cath lab to see if they can put stents in instead. The
onus of my recovery is going to be on me.
Hi everyone,

The way I heard about it is that a stent is way less invasive but your crotch will never feel the same anymore ... 8-)

Stent's if suitable is the way to go as it is a simple (for the
patient) and you can go home the same day with only a hour or so
recovery to check that all is well.
For mine is was inserted near the groin but these days they have
started using the arm and you can watch the whole process in a monitor
but mine was a black and white job so harder to work it out so not
bored and had a quick cat nap. You can ask for a relaxant jab if you
want but it will be very mild as they want you awake - mostly to
report any pain.
Stent's is usually backed up with taking a blood thinner such as Clopidigrel 75mg daily - just have to avoid getting a cut and remember
to go off it 3 days before any surgery - you tend to have an issue with blood clotting for a cut etc - so a issue for any surgery. The drug (I have been told in the past) for reversing the effect has its own
problems that is best avoided. Going to the dentist I go off it a clean two days before but do not bother for covid jabs as that is goes
straight into mussel
