Yeah, it would ne nice if everyone wrote about their favorite game
here. It doesn't have to be anout DOOM.

i can't say they're my favorite but i currently have the beta of
Jupiter Hell which is derived from Doom... i sponsered them on
their kickstarter... getting JH required that i install steam which
lead me to pull in a couple of other free games... one of those is
a fishing game called Fishing Planet... you work your way up to
other fishing areas by catching fish and increasing your points...
Jupiter Hell is a top down 3D rogue/nethack like game... just like
doom, you explore and kill enemies as you work your way through the
moons of jupiter...
... It's 3:30 A.M. Do you know where your mail is?

What if it's still DOOM? I'm amazed that so many years after it was released that I'm still seeing mods and levels for it.
For me, it was the first multiplayer FPS I played - we used to use
IPX networking at my office and do a 6 person conference call on
the office PBX.
Cooperative mode DOOM with that setup took up a lot of time in the
early 90s. Wait, did I say DOOM? I meant "Off-Hours Network Stress Testing"...

War Thunder, an online multiplayer battle simulator with air,
tanks, helicopter and sea battles. I'm mostly an air battles kinda
guy.

I played Quake II online continuously in the late '90s, my favorite
rig was
an old Dell PII rig with a Matrox add-on 3d card.
I recently found a QuakeSpy program called Qtracker and found out
that
Sheridan:City1, the server/map I played on was still running! Alas,
most of
the servers are ghost towns nowadays.
Actually I much preferred Quake III as it was faster than Quake II. Quake was a real favourite too but Quake II never really did it for me.

I need more room to avoid bumping into teammates. With the tank
battles and starting out the sea battles, I end up ramming my
compatriots more than striking out at the enemy. :)
Hello and same to you!

Right on! Just finished a little Quake2, myself.
I played Gloom today. Haven't played this game since I played a two-player game
over a DSL line 20-some years ago. I still enjoy it better than Doom. :-)
I just got done installing OS/2 4.5 under VM lastnight, I wanna play around>with it, see if I can find some old OS/2 games!
I gotta go find/download quakeworld and see if any servers are running. that>game was AWESOME!
Broom - The Harry Potter edition. You each get a BFA and then fly around on brooms trying to kill each other.
Never played with OS/2, but always heard good things about it.
Can't go wrong with anything with "Quake" in the name... :)
made for Amiga exclusively. Went on a few coverdisks from Amiga magazines in the past. Check Aminet.net.
