    I looked around yesterday and my sixteen-month-old was
    sitting up in the armchair, looking very proud of himself. Later I caught him in the act of climbing up there and today he has been climbing up onto the sofa

    and a rocking chair of sorts in his room. He likes that one and scares his mum

    by standing on it and throwing himself backwards to make it bang against the wall.

    Sounds like an active sort... ;) Expanding his horizons, too... :)

    He likes that one and scares his mum by standing on it and throwing himself backwards to make it bang against the wall.

    And does it scare you a bit too... or does it just remind you of what
    you were like at that age (or a bit older)...? <G> Hopefully he's
    not causing too much damage to the wall, or the chair... ;)

    Reminds me of my son Shawn as a 9-10 month old. I would put him to bed in his crib and tuck him in. I would then turn towards the door and maybe take two steps. I would hear a noise and turn back to find Shawn standing on the floor behind me. That little guy was quick. He used to worry me now and then with the

    things he would do without any apparent fear. Now... as a father himself he has

    a little boy who acts just like he did at that age. <g>

    So, does he relate to the kid... or understand finally what he put you through...? <G> Apparently his fearlessness didn't lead him to an
    early demise, anyway... :)
