Hello There Dad's,
I would like to wish all my fellow father's out there a happy father' day. care guys.
Thanks and back to you. I was out of town this past Father's day.
Spent a week with my sone, his wife and my grandkids. Nice.
I recently found my son after not knowing where or how has been after 33 years of not seeing him. We are seriously working on building the relationship that we both have missed out on. I also now have two more grand-kids. <g>

Thanks. I have spent years trying to track him down. A little over a
month ago I got a PM on Facebook from a girl/women that I didn't know asking some odd questions. It turned out that she was my son's XYL. I
am trying to help my son get to know (At his own speed) the brothers
and sisters that he didn't know that he had. And a dad that has loved
and missed him for many years. So far everything seems to be going
good. He is a firefighter in Michigan and loves trains. <g>

And nice of her to be willing to do the legwork to try to track you down
for him... :)

Baby sit the kids during summer and after school during school year. Pretty much daily each week.

Yeah, they seem like a happy couple and she seems genuinely interested
in helping him find his roots and building relationships.

Yes indeed. He was a shy boy when he was little. He seems to have
matured into a good and caring adult. When I seen a picture of him and
his family which included his son. I remarked to him that his son looks exactly like he did at that same age. One habit that my son had when he was a 3-4 year old was to find him sitting on the kitchen floor taste testing everything in the fridge. <g> Seems HIS son does the same thing now that he is the same age.

So they must live closer to you than the first son... :)

Shortly after that as a matter of fact.
I had some idea for a time
what state he might have been in. And checked with everyone (Including agencies) that I could think of. I don't want to get too negative here
but soon after mommy and daddy parted ways. I didn't hear from her at
all as to where she was or how she and my son were doing. I recently
found out that he entered a foster home at some point thereafter. And
was eventually adopted by someone else. Sorry, Nancy but THAT is what
gets me the most. I will stop here as I don't believe in parent
bashing regardless of what my feelings are.
The main thing as I see it Nancy is that we are in contact NOW and we
both are open to starting/rebuilding a relationship. I have made a
point of being honest to my son and his questions. Regardless of own personal feelings I have avoided expressing them to my son regarding
his mother. I want him to form his own opinion unaffected by my
attitude.
