think mustard, curry, hot peppers
Mmmmmmm ... hot peppers.
Of course, rice or tea, or milk, do better for calming the fire
than water, should one overindulge... ;)

In my younger drinking daze I found gin and tonic to be the best mouth cleanser when eating hot peppers as well as extremely hot and spicey foods.
Of the above quoted 'cures', I found milk to work the best,
although not as good as gin and tonic.
It mostly depends on what's available when you need it

That is the usual case. However in this case neither gin or milk
handy at the moment. Mind you no hot and/or spicey food for that
matter.
I really need to get out more.
between the rice and the tea, the entrees stayed well tamed... :)
We had duck with ginger sauce, Evil Jungle Prince pork, and Basil
beef...

Do they deliver?
Guess you'll just have to come out here someday for a visit,
share some Scotch and Irish whiskey with me, visit good
restaurants... ;)

In my younger days I would have jumped at the opportunity. These days
I cannot even afford to take a trip across the Strait to Vancouver
which definetly has the same types of resaurants (Thai) as well as a
slew of others while they are at it.
If I am not mistaken the sushi restaurants got their foothold in
North America in Vancouver.
Also we'd both be tourists there although I probably know my way
around there better than most tourists.
Interesting to think about for sure. Thank you for that.
