The copy I have of OLX is REGISTERED to me...I don't think it (like
most other legacy BBS software) is registerable anymore.
didn't want to be using that if lightning was around. And,
thunderstorms in Arkansas are prolific lightning producers. Florida may dub itself as "the lightning capital of the world", but I'd say
Arkansas is a close second.
Changed the subject line... Might need to move to another channel? :-)
Probably not. I did finally grab OLXTD and loaded DOS 6.22 in Parallels. JA>The colors were great, but it just didn't 'grab me' like I expected it JA>to, so I'm back to MM via Win7. Also easier to drag and drop the qwk & JA>rep files (though now that I type this, no reason I can't map the download JA>& upload folders to one place... hmm...).
Also, in TN, storms tend to happen late, LATE evening or middle of the JA>night. I think you get more daylight storms?

The thing is, reading and replying via QWK Mail is so much easier,
than with the regular echoes. As the Apostle Paul noted "Let all things
be done decently, and in order". :)
Unfortunately, no. Arkansas tends to get the brunt of its severe
weather after dark. At one time, Arkansas was ranked #1 in the nation
in killer tornadoes.

Oh I agree! There a little delay, sometimes, but that's okay too. This
is still more 'traditional.' :-)

I always assumed earlier since they hit you before they get to me...
