Hello All,
Ray Gwinn and I are in discussion about my taking over the care and feeding of SIO/VMODEM (a telnet engine/virtual modem/FOSSIL driver for OS/2 that Ray developed about 25 years ago). Nothing is set in stone
yet but the discussion is going well.
does that mean open sourcing it? vmodem needs some serious work to be on the public internet. i have vmodem partially reverse engineered .. it has a few undocumented DosDevIOCtl calls to turn the emulated DCD, etc on and off and I
could really use the source to figure it out..
also, i thought that netlabs was already in talks with him? all of that code
is in assembly and they'd be able to maintain/improve it for ArcaOS, OS4, etc
... A Scarf is just an unfinished Afghan
