Is there a way to lookup a ham operator by name?

If they're from Canada, you can search by last name here:
https://apc-cap.ic.gc.ca/pls/apc_anon/query_amat_cs$.startup
Now.. is there a way to send a message to that person? :/
BTW, what is the official tag name for this echo? My original message
did not appear in Tommi's Fidonet.HAM or Fidonet.HAM_TECH echos.

If you go to www.qrz.com, you can do that. However, you have to set
up an account, but it's free of charge. Now, you can get extra options
per year, such as turning off the ads, if you desire.
I ended up signing up at hamcall.net It doesn't seem to offer
name-lookup.
But someone steered me to a Canadian gov't site that lists license holders. And there is a fine name lookup there.
The hamdata.com website was back up today...the first time in almost
2 weeks. It has a quick list of the latest issued US and Canadian ham
radio callsigns.
That one claims "Hamdata - The most accurate amateur radio callsign
server on the web." ..but it did not have the Canadian one that I know that have been around for years. I guess this database relies on
personal submissions only.

Doesn't seem to be via that method other than snail mail.

If it were me, I'd LOVE to get something in the MAIL from someone
that found me from a contact like that. :-)

With the Postal Service now taking a MINIMUM of 5 days to deliver
First Class Mail...never mind some countries overseas won't accept
mail (QSL cards, etc.), I just eQSL now. But, contesting was never
my cup of tea, as it were.
I have never contested and, as of now, don't care for it. I'm just
making a general comment about getting MAIL in general! When I was a
kid I had a couple of pen pals, and I used to enjoy getting fan newsletters or 'fanzines' in the mail. :-) Was a simpler time. LOL
... User: the word computer professionals use when they mean "idiot."

Whaaat? Some countries are not accepting QSL cards? Aren't they just
like postcards? I thought people could send postcards from all around
the world, still. What countries are not accepting?
