GE Ed,

Your message sounded to me as a thanks and farewell to Fidonet.
Your message sounded to me as a thanks and farewell to Fidonet.
I'll have to look at My post again to see if it looks like that to
Me. Didn't mean to suggest Fidonet (or BBSing) not being useful.
Some time ago You mentioned to Me about using the Mouse on Your lap,
placed on something (Clipboard?).
THANK YOU!, doing that method has made life easier for Me now.

Oh no, just like you was leaving Fidonet.
Some time ago You mentioned to Me about using the Mouse on Your lap, placed on something (Clipboard?).
I didn't suggest 'on the lap' but at the height of your lap.
For instance: All my stationary machines stand on the floor and the top
is abt 55 cm above the floor (2 feet minus 2 inches). On the top lays
the mouse mat.
THANK YOU!, doing that method has made life easier for Me now.
OK.
Oh no, just like you was leaving Fidonet.
NOT EVER!!!!!!!!
This BBS has FidoNet Echoes and also has Echoes from Mystic, Dove,
GT Power and the iLink Networks.
Before 1984, I logged on a couple of 2 Meter Amateur Radio RTTY
BBS's.
I didn't suggest 'on the lap' but at the height of your lap.
O.K. Duh. Memory - My PC has it, I don't. .... ..
This XP box is 15" tall but is on a stand with wheels which makes it
18" abt 45 cm above the floor.
Both of those PC's are in a corner of the room, ......
I take the book off of my lap and put the Keyboard on my lap when I
type.
I guess that's the only exercise I get in this room - swapping the
Book I use the Mouse on, and getting the Keyboard when I want to
THANK YOU!, doing that method has made life easier for Me now.
I want to get at the UBS connectors on the machine without having to
creep on the floor or behind the machine.

I make Typos frequently.
My XP desktop pc has 2 USB ports on the front and several on the
back.
I have a A.C. Powered USB Hub connected to one of the USB ports on
the back.
I wanted a Powered Hub so that all of the USB thingy I plugged into
it would get all of the current they need to operate.
I have the Hub on top of the desktop pc and use a Velcro Pad between
it and the pc to keep the Hub from moving around.
