How can I prevent useless .aae files from being uploaded to my Mac from
my Iphone?
I've set my Iphone Settings > Photos > Transfer to Mac or PC >
Automatic, and Camera > Formats > Most Compatible, but those useless, enigmatic, pesky .aae files with the Photos icon keep getting uploaded
to my Mac anyway.
I can't even open those useless, enigmatic, pesky files in Photos, so
they really trouble me, and I keep on having to spend extra time and
effort to delete them from my Imac every time I upload photos from my
Iphone to my Imac. When I try to open the files in Photos, the name of
the file appears in the left panel, bu tthe image doesn't appear in the Photos photo window.
I wish Apple would fix this frustrating glitch and irritation.
I'm using Image Capture to upload my photos to my Imac.

stop editing your photos on your phone.

as well they should, since they contain critical data.

photos is the only app that understands their contents, which is the
edit list of what you did on the phone.

there's nothing to fix.

Does that mean putting a heart note by photos is editing? That's the
only editing I'm doing of some of the pictures on my phone.

How can those .AAE files contain critical data? I delete them all from
my computer, and I see no bad effects of that. In fact, deleting those files liberates space on my Apple computer, and liberates my mind.

they contain the edit list and they're not very big. if you delete
them, you lose any edits you made.
