    Hi Oscar!

I was looking at an old fido file this morning got all
    misty eyed so looked on
the Inet and found this BBS thought great I'll look up
    the Avation echo Oh
dear all but dead Hi Mike Luther & Ward Dossche I
    remember your names. Does
Fidonet still exist ? Where can I get a good feed ( fido not food )?

You bet FidoNet still exists. Some echos are still pretty active. Some are sure not. I gather, from the Region 2 source from which you made this post, you probably are in Region 2. Thus a feed source from wherever in Europe you might hook up with isn't really a takeoff forward from Region 1 over here in the USA, grin. Since a huge part of FidoNet is now fed via IP connectivity via
BinkP, TelNet or FTP connections or things like that, phone line costs aren't really the big issue it used to be. Ward will probably offer you comments - his venue is your arena!

Certainly cheaper than flying an airplane all over the place every day just to talk about aviation, grin!

Sleep well; OS/2's still awake! ;)

    Mike,

Certainly cheaper than flying an airplane all over the place every day
just to talk about aviation, grin!

    Next week ... Brussels-Amsterdam on a KLM Fokker-100 and then Amsterdam-Hartford on a Northworst Airlines 757-200ER ... 219 Euro round trip. Let's say US310 ... not too bad ...

I still need to come and visit you to talk "aviation" and "other things" for at
    least a week.

    Hello Ward,
I'm in zone 3, Christchurch New Zeland is the closest place you will find on a map. I could use a pots connection anywere in NZ. That would be a bit of work on thinking about it, could be fun though, or the Inet.
    Thanks Oscar

Let me get in touch with someone from overthere to handle your request.

If you can mail me your voice-number via email at wd@skynet.be I can feed it to
a local sysop to help you get set-up.

    Will that work for you?
