    7. This Week's Stories and Requests for Help We try to post stories and comments from our readers each week. Send your story to newsletter@tias.com.

Here's a note from one of our readers. Does anyone have any info to share?

"Found this at a friends house it is approximately (at least) 100 years old. Here are some pictures. Think that it has an "athletica" brand. The writing on the box is "Universal portable tool chest patented all around the world." Thanks Eran
    Here's a link to the pictures: https://www.facebook.com/TIASAntiques/posts/10154553760543656

Here's a "haunted" story about one of our reader's collection:

Here's my true "haunted items" story. My mom and I went to hundreds of garage sales together. We bought interesting small plates and used those instead of matching sets of dishes. When my mom died over 10 years ago, 2 odd things happened in the first couple weeks following her death. About a week after she

died, I heard a crash from my kitchen. Seven plates had "jumped" out of the cupboard, and 5 of them broke. No one was near them when it happened. That was odd enough, but a few days later, in my basement, the exact same thing happened - 7 plates crashed to the floor and 5 broke. I wonder if she was trying to tell me I had collected too many plates!

Email recipes@tias.com if you have a vintage recipe you'd like to share or if you're looking for a recipe!

Here's a recipe from a reader who says her family loves as a side dish:

    Zucchini, Peppers and Corn

2-3 fresh zucchini, sliced into 1/4" rounds 1-2 T butter
1/4 green pepper chopped into small pieces 1/4 red pepper chopped into small pieces 2 cups cooked corn
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Fresh chopped chives

Using a large skillet, lay the zucchini slices in melted butter, adding the peppers and onion on top of the zucchini layer. Cook without stirring until the zucchini is just lightly brown on one side. Give it all a quick stir continue cooking for a minute or two until everything is just softening a bit. Add corn, salt and pepper to taste, and some freshly chopped chives, toss until

    heated through, and serve.

Ratio of zucchini to corn can be changed depending on personal preference.

Great way to use leftover corn from a fresh corn roast! --------------------------
