    Hi,

I succeeded in finding two amiga bbses yesterday.. Kinda cool..

The killing ground is still up and running.. Don't know if the
author is around, but I found another one running Zeus:
miserybbs.com, according to the nodelist it's runed by Frank which
    who also runs diskshop bbs?

I didn't succeed in registering.. but cool Amiga still works even
    for Telnet BBSing :)

    Bo
    Regards,
    Bo

You are in the Amiga-Net nodelist. Don't you read the Amiga-Net areas? If you did you at least would have known about Frank's bbs's! ;)

I succeeded in finding two amiga bbses yesterday.. Kinda cool..

There more than two floating around.

I guess so.. Just thought of, is there any Xenolink boards around?

Personally, I found a AmiExpress clone for Linux called Daydream (I know there is a daydream for Amiga too but never looked into it), kinda
cool, I even wrote a Fidonet packet tosser, which I thought I've lost.
I didn't have the energy to start over, so I'm running Synchronet now.

But tonight I found the source, hidden in some backup files. So definitely
need to setup the BBS up agian. It was really a nice piece of software.

The killing ground is still up and running.. Don't know if the author is around, but I found another one running Zeus: miserybbs.com, according

Neil is still around, but very busy!

Really a complete BBS package he wrote.. Even more when you think of both mailer and tosser is included.

There's a lot of work required to get a bbs system setup. My system is
still in the process of being setup and is taking a while due to issues
    with the machine and software.

I see.. Just having a default BBS installation is not that fun!

But good luck with your system setup :)

    Bo

I don't know what happend there. Nothing changed in my config since last week, but somehow nlmaint decided it can't find the Region14.amy segment, while it's still there. Nlmaint is some strange piece of software. I'll try to switch to makenl on my linux machine before next weeks nodelist...

Ahh.. Zeus BBS.. takes me back.. I used to run Zeus on my old Amiga 2000 back in the early 90s .. it was a really nice piece of software once you got the hang of it. I miss those days I have been thinking about messing around with AmiTCP on WinUAE and see if I can get inbound telnet operational using telnetd.device .. I really would love to setup another amiga based BBS

It's actually quite easy to do. Run something like Amiga Forever and just add the telnetd.device that's up on aminet and you'll be all set.
